Vintage Japanese Chef's Sashimi Sushi Knife 8.5" Blade Laminated Samurai Steel Inkstone 1880's) of all solid kiriThis is a professional grade signed sashimi or sushi chef's yanagiba knife from the mid to late 20th century. Made using the same methods used to create samurai swords. The blade was hand forged from a combination of hard high carbon white steel forge welded onto a piece of soft wrought iron. After forging and shaping it was set into a Magnolia wood handle. Yanagaba bocho or willow blade knife are long and very thin shingle sided knives used in the
