France, V Republic. An Overseas Medal With Somalia Clasp, C.1965 Auction Archive both from there on our(Medaille dOutre Mer). Instituted 6 June 1962. A circular medal constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bears the left facing helmeted and laurel crowned portrait of a woman (as the personification of the French Republic), circumscribed with REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE (FRENCH REPUBLIC), the reverse bears a terrestrial globe on top of trophies of military conquest circumscribed with "MEDAILLE D'OUTRE MER" (OVERSEAS MEDAL), measuring 28. 78 mm (w) x 34.
