Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse bearing a central raised inscription of AZAD HIND, topped by a leftward facing Bengal tiger and situated above lotus leaves, the reverse bearing a central inscription of INDIENS FREIHEITS KAMPF (INDIAS FREEDOM STRUGGLE) situated on a grid, the twelve oclock position topped by a crossed sword clasp, in turn culminating in an integral loop and suspension ring
