Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a zink backplate with a field grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 30 mm (w) x 61. 87 mm (h), with most of the bronze finish lost, in overall
