This 2016 is probably the most delicately coloured example of this wine we have seen — partridge eye I think we used to call it

It's complex

The vineyard lies on the south-facing slope where the 30- to 80-year-old vines are rooted in the schist soils typical of the Amandi Gorge

The palate shows a shade more concentration and better mouthfeel than the terriors de Courgis

Commune of Buttons Clover Pinot Noir 2024 macon-villages Yellow with green reflectsThe Pinot from Commune of Buttons is from 0. 5 hectares of Pinot Noir from the Clover vineyard east facing slope. Post hand harvest the grapes were sorted, then destemmed with 10% whole bunches. Maceration was for 3 weeks followed by elevage for 11 months in a single 1800L Foudre. The wine is bright, acid driven and red fruited with cherries and spice on the nose, it has a dark bramble core with a generous mid pallet.
