(1939 1945 issue; post 1957 reissue). Constructed of iron and nickel alloy, consisting of a Cross Patte with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed nickel alloy frame, the obverse with three central oak leaves, the six oclock arm with a reinstitution date of 1939, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 44. 09 mm (w) x
