The original model was broken into nine pieces and reconstructed. Nowadays it is exhibited at the Statens Historical Museum in Oslo. The `glasses` protect both the eyes and the nose, while the chainmail provides the neck with a flexible protection. This helmet is made of 2 mm thick steel. It is unpolished and darkened like the
